Six teens hurt in car crash

MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio -- Six teens take a wild ride that sends them to the hospital.

Police say the driver fo the car, 16-year-old Cassie Cook of Laura, was talking and failed to stop at the intersection of Myers Road and Rench Road near Covington in Miami County Friday night. A passenger esttimates Cook was traveling 70 to 80 miles per hour at the time of the accident.

The car plowed into a farm field. Another passenger tried to drive the car out of the field but the car rolled on its side in a creek. 

The passengers are identified as 16-year-old Paige Harner of West Milton, 19-year-old Kyle Plantz of Troy, 16-year-old Nicholas Brown of Troy, 16-year-old Sarah Dubent of Troy, and Zachary Crump of Troy.

The teens were taken to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment.
