New Antioch College names interim president
YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio - Antioch College has named an interim president, the school announced Wednesday.
Matthew Derr will take over the reigns and serve as the chief transition officer for the school, which became a new, independent college on September 4. Derr will oversee campus renovations, the expansion of the capital campaign, and the hiring and organization of the administrative staff.
Derr graduated from Antioch University in 1989 and has previously served on the college's alumni board and the executive committee.
The school separated from the Antioch University in June after the campus in Yellow Springs officially closed because of declining enrollment and budget issues. The new school is continuing its search for a permanent president.
