CLARK COUNTY, Ohio - Police say one man was taken to a hospital in Clark County after flipping his vehicle early Wednesday morning.

The accident happened on Old Columbus in Springfield Township. Police said the driver hit a patch of black ice, skidded off the roadway, and flipped over into a ditch just after 3 a.m.

A medical helicopter was called in to transport the man to the hospital, though the injuries were not expected to be life-threatening.

The Ohio State Patrol says they will investigate if there were any other causes of the crash, such as speed and alcohol. They did say, however, that the driver was wearing his seatbelt.
