New Springfield hospital construction running ahead of schedule
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Construction of Springfield's new hospital is actually a month ahead of schedule.
Project director Kevin O'Brien credits hard work and good weather, among other reasons.
He adds over $17.5-million in work to local, minority- and/or women-owned enterprises has been awarded so far.
This afternoon, Community Mercy Health Partners President and CEO Mark Wiener laid the first of more than 220,000 bricks to be installed during masonry work scheduled for completion next summer.
