Montgomery County voting precincts will shrink under plan
DAYTON, Ohio - Montgomery County's Board of Elections will reduce the number of voting precincts at its November 24th meeting. Under the plan, the number of precincts would shrink from 548 to 360. The board says the new precincts will have more people eligible to vote, require fewer poll workers, and use fewer voting machines. That also means more back-up machines available in case of break-downs. The new proposal was developed by a Democrat and a Republican with input from the board.
