Main drag in Centerville/Washington Twp. changes speed limit
CENTERVILLE, Ohio -- Better watch your speed on a portion of Ohio 48 in Centerville and Washington Township.
The speed limit has been lowered from 45 mph to 40 mph on the portion of Ohio 48 from Alex-Bell Road north to Whipp Road.
The Ohio Department of Transportation suggested the change.
The change comes because of so many businesses along the street and the number of cars coming in and out of those businesses.
What others are saying
- Speed change on 48OMG - what is next??? 35MPH? Cameras? AH!!! Government control. Actually people should slow down, they go way to fast and are more than reckless on that street. Drove it for many years and most drivers run 48 & Whip red light on a continual basis. They could make a tidy sum on tickets if they just hung out there out of site.
