Former Fairborn athlete severely beaten near Kent State
AKRON, Ohio -- A former Fairborn High school athlete is recovering in an Akron hospital after being severely beaten in Kent, Ohio. Police say the attack on 23 year old Chris Kernich, a student at Kent State University, was unprovoked. Two men have been arrested and charged with felonious assault.
Kernich played football, basketball, and baseball at Fairborn. He graduated in 2005.
