DAYTON, Ohio - Maybe a pep rally will help spark the worsening economic landscape in Dayton and the Miami Valley. Community leaders sure hope so.

The Dayton Region Rally is set for Tuesday, November 24 at the University of Dayton Arena from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The idea behind the rally is to allow local residents to hear for themselves exactly what business leaders have planned for the local economy.

A number of speakers are scheduled for the event, including NFL Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow, now the Athletic Director at Central State University, and Joe Sciabica, the Executive Director of the Air Force Research Laboratory. Those in attendance will be able to hear exactly what is happening behind the scenes to boost the local economy.

Cox Media is sponsoring the event. To preregister for the rally, visit daytonregion.com/rally
