DAYTON, Ohio - The exit ramp from I-70 east to I-75 south was shut down Monday morning after a multi-car crash at the end of the exit ramp.

The Ohio State Patrol said a truck swerved in the left lane and cut off a car in the right lane, sending the vehicle careening into the guard rail. Crews from Vandalia and Englewood were called to the scene to help untangle the car from the guard rail and reroute traffic.

Additional cars traveling behind the truck and car became involved in the chain-reaction crash, though there was no serious damage to any of the other vehicles.

Police say two people were injured in the crash, with a woman being taken to Miami Valley Hospital and a child being taken to Children's Medical Center. Witnesses told officers that the driver of the truck fled the scene.

Troopers are still investigating the accident.
