Behr employees okay contract, 900 local jobs saved
DAYTON, Ohio -- A positive union vote will save some 900 local jobs.
Members of IUE-CWA Local 775 ratified the agreement with Behr Thermal Products yesterday 538-261.
A previous contract proposal was voted down last month and threatened the closure of the local plant.
The company says the new contract will save the auto products company some $12 million a year.
Behr Thermal Products is the last full-time auto factory in the city of Dayton.
