Annual Turkey Trot draws big crowd
MIAMISBURG, Ohio - (WHIO-TV) -- Approximately 7,700 people either ran or walked in this morning's annual Turkey Trot in Miamisburg.
The event kicked off at 8 a.m. in downtown Miamisburg.
It included a 5-mile run and a 1-mile walk.
Officials said the race fosters a unique bond between past participants. This year, there were people wearing their old Turkey Trot shirts and running the same distance even though they now live somewhere else.
One local solider now in Iraq, planned to run today in honor of the Turkey Trot.
