HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A Huber Heights family doctor who had faced accusations by patients of inappropriate conduct is now accused of hiring someone to kill is ex-wife.

Shafik Ahmad, 48, is now in the Montgomery County jail.

The alleged murder-for-hire plot failed and the woman is fine, according to investigators.

Ahmad operates a family practice at 6750 Brandt Pike in Huber Heights and at 2550 Shiloh Springs in Trotwood.

Ahmad had several complaints lodged by patients for the inappropriate conduct, but he was never criminally charged nor was he disciplined by the Ohio State Medical Board.
