State Finds Fault During Champaign County Audit
CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ohio -- A state audit finds problems in Champaign County.
They include the county auditor's office improperly certifying tax rates in Jackson Township, and a software error causing some $11,000 owed the township to be sent to St. Paris, Christiansburg and Graham schools.
There's also a payment to Urbana City Schools that's $500,000 short and 2150 incorrect tax bills in Jackson Township.
The current auditor says many of the problems have been corrected.
