Former Northmont Teacher Guilty Of Charges In Relationship With Student
DAYTON, Ohio -- Former Northmont High School teacher Loren Meadows has pled guilty to charges after being accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student.
Meadows, 35, pled guilty to three counts of contributing to the unruliness of a minor. In exchange for the guilty plea, two counts of felony sexual battery were dropped.
Meadows could get up to six months in jail when he is sentenced next month. He will also surrender his teaching license and will be barred from coaching minors.
Meadows was arrested June 23 in Clinton County after police found him partially dressed in a vehicle with a 17-year-old girl. He initially claimed he was also 17, and police had to use a Taser to subdue him after he refused to cooperate.
Union police said Meadows had sex with the girl in April and May while she was a student at Northmont. Meadows had been a social studies teacher and coach for football and track at Northmont since 1999 -- he resigned after his June arrest.
Meadows was found guilty last week of resisting arrest in Clinton County. He was sentenced to two years probation and must pay a $375 fine.
