Study: People in Ohio Growing in the Wrong Direction
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Ohio has cracked the top 10 in a new survey, but once again it's not a list the state wants to be on.
In a study released Wednesday, the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation found that obesity rates among adults rose in 23 states over the past year - including Ohio - and did not decline anywhere.
Ohio placed tenth on the list, the first time the state appeared in the top 10. The adult obesity rate in the state is at 28.6 percent.
For the fifth year in a row, Mississippi had the highest rate of adult obesity with 32.5 percent. Colorado had the lowest rate, checking in with only 18.9 percent.
