TROY, Ohio - One year after a popular restaurant closed its doors, another one is set to take its place.

City officials say that Kent Wolters has applied for a permit for "Kent's Steakhouse," set to open at 1750 W. Main Street in Troy. The site was the former home of CJ's HighMarks Restaurant, which ceased operations in mid-2008.

Jim Dando, the economic director for the city, said Wolters will serve steaks and seafood at his newly proposed restaurant. Wolters needs an occupancy permit for the site before he can complete the renovations necessary for his new restaurant.

CJ's closed after the owner chose not to renew his lease. The restaurant had originally opened in 1990.
