Man Helps Out Elderly Woman, Then Steals Her Purse
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- A man is wanted by deputies for helping an 86-year-old woman with her groceries, then taking off with her purse.
It happened Monday, June 29, at the Kroger grocery store at 2728 East Main Street.
Deputies say a man approached the elderly woman and asked for help finding his vehicle. He helped her with her groceries before grabbing her purse and fleeing, according to the police report.
The man is described as a thin male in his early 20s, around 6'3" with brown hair.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 328-2560.
