Father Of Five Facing Drug And Traffic Charges
DAYTON, Ohio -- A tip led U.S. marshals and Dayton police to arrest two men on drug charges Wednesday, July 1 -- including the father of five children injured in a violent crash last Christmas.
Eucelf Taste, 29, and Christopher Gordon, 33, were arrested around 1:30 p.m. at 1524 South Broadway Street on charges stemming from possession and trafficking in heroin, according to police.
Inside the home, authorities found weapons, cash, and heroin. Gordon and Taste were hiding in the basement, according to U.S. marshals.
Gordon and Taste were both wanted on parole violations.
Taste, the father of five young children injured in a Christmas Day crash, is also facing charges including driving under a suspended license and a speeding offense.
Jail records show Taste has been arrested numerous times in the last decade for assault, drug possession, and driving without a license. He is still looking at charges of improper child restraint and driving under a suspended license stemming from an arrest at the beginning of May.
In the December crash, Taste's five children were all in the back seat of his car, and police had said it appeared they were not wearing seatbelts.
