Family Of Three Escapes Overnight Fire
TROTWOOD, Ohio -- A family of three escaped a fire that badly damaged a home early this morning, July 2.
It happened just before 3 a.m. at a home in the 4200 block of Freudenberger Avenue, not far from North Gettysburg Avenue. A woman and two small children were in the home, but managed to get out safely.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control relatively quickly, but the home was damaged too badly for the family to return, according to dispatchers.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
