URBANA, Ohio -- Some local residents are being asked to cut back on water usage.

Urbana city officials want residents east of Jefferson Street to voluntarily conserve water because of mechanical problems at the Water Street booster station.

They indicate parts have been ordered to correct the problem, but the east tower is currently less than half full, and pressure could drop if usage isn't minimized.

City workers expect to have the situation resolved by late today.
