Truck Flees Brutal Hit-And-Run With Bike
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A countywide alert has been issued to keep a lookout for a pickup truck, now believed to be a stolen vehicle, involved in a hit-and-run accident that took place this morning, June 29.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. on Otello Avenue between Webster Street and Woodland Hills Boulevard, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say the truck hit a motorcycle and dragged the rider more than 1,000 feet down the road.
The man suffered severe injuries -- he was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
Deputies are now hunting for a gray 2008 Chevy Colorado pickup truck with a solid canopy over the bed. The truck has heavy front end damage -- glass and debris believed to be from the truck was found along the road.
The truck also matches the description of a pickup stolen recently -- deputies say the license plate of the stolen vehicle is DLE5472.
The sheriff's office reports the man may have a rifle in the truck.
Anyone who sees the described truck or who has information about the incident should call 225-4357.
