TROTWOOD, Ohio -- A teen is still recovering after being shot multiple times in what police are calling a botched drug deal.

It happened around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, June 28, in the 4000 block of Salem Avenue.  Police say the 18-year-old had arranged to buy drugs in the parking lot of a business, then tried to rob the seller.

Police said the at least one person in the other vehicle then opened fire on the would-be robber, hitting him several times -- investigators later said there were more than a dozen bullet holes in the vehicle.

The 18-year-old was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police said the man, whose identity has not released, will be facing charges.
