Teen Accused Of Trying To Kidnap Girl
XENIA, Ohio -- A juvenile is in police custody today, June 22, after police say he broke into a home and tried to abduct another teen.
Officers responded to the 2300 block of Commonwealth Drive shortly after 1 a.m.
The suspect had broken into the room of a girl and covered her mouth with duct tape, according to police. A family member heard the commotion though and the juvenile fled on foot.
Officers said the juvenile was apparently attempting to take the girl from the home. His description also matched that of someone who had broken into several vehicles in the same area.
Police have said the girl didn't know her attacker -- they found a suspect matching the description as he was returning to a nearby home.
Investigators said he had things that may have been taken from the girl's home.
