Police Arrest One, Seek Another in School Break-In
FAIRBORN, Ohio - Police say they have arrested a man they believe is responsible for an overnight break-in of a Fairborn middle school, and are still searching for another.
Officials say Shane Marlow was taken into custody Wednesday morning, and is currently in the Fairborn City Jail. They also know the name of the second man they are looking for, but they have not yet released his name.
Marlow and his accomplice allegedly broke into Baker Middle School on Lincoln Drive around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, and in doing so tripped an alarm. Officers responded immediately to the scene, in time to see Marlow running from the school.
Police chased down and apprehended Marlow, then called in a K-9 unit in effort to locate the second suspect, but no scent was traced.
This is the second time a Fairborn school has been burglarized in the last two weeks. Police said the board of education office was burglarized last week. Officials say the break-ins are similar, but they do not believe the two are connected.
