KETTERING, Ohio -- Kettering officials are discussing plans to spend $1.5 million to renovate the inside of the Kettering City Government building at 3600 Shroyer Road.

The Dayton Daily News quotes Thomas Glardon, public service director as saying they want to spend money on renovations because "It's a 1971 building. With the exception of periodic changes of painting and the carpeting and things like that, we haven't done any major addressing of the interior space since 1971."

The project still has to be approved by city council members, but Glardon said that $1.5 million has already been set aside to spruce up the building.
