DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- The Montgomery County Board of Elections has deadlocked again over whether state Sen. Jon Husted legally resides in his Dayton-area district and is eligible to vote there.

The board voted 2-to-2 on Monday, with Republicans saying Husted has a legal residence in of Kettering. Democrats disagree.

Husted, a Republican, says his legal residence is Kettering though his duties often keep him in the Columbus area.

The board deadlocked over the issue in February and sent the dispute to Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner. Brunner asked Husted to supply additional documents and sent the matter back to the board.

The board will send its decision and supporting documentation back to Brunner within two weeks.
