Donations Slow For Sculpture Of Springfield Champ
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- An effort to honor a former world featherweight boxing champion from our area is on the canvas.
Davey Moore's family say they haven't heard from project coordinators in over a year.
Center City Association sculpture advisory committee officials indicate they're still trying to raise the final $37,000 of the $92,000 cost of the 8-foot statue, but the economy is slowing donations.
They remain optimistic.
