DAYTON, Ohio - A high-speed chase between police and three armed robbers came to an end just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in west Dayton.

Police from both Dayton and Trotwood followed a car for over 30-minutes through the streets of west Dayton before the robbers stopped their damaged car and fled on food.

Officers arrested the men near the intersection of Melbourne and North Gettysburg Avenues at about 2:40 p.m. The suspects were wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Trotwood earlier in the day.

Reports say the robbers' car struck a police cruiser during the chase. There is no word yet on the extent of injuries, if any, that were suffered during the chase.

Police are investigating both the chase and the robbery to determine the connection.
