SPRING VALLEY, Ohio -- Ohio Route 725 is open after a wanted man crashed and shut down the road around 4 a.m. Thursday. Police said the driver of a Cadillac Escalade led them on a high-speed chase, but they lost him in the Spring Valley area when the driver ran through a red light.

It wasn't long before they received a call from OnStar that the vehicle had been involved in a crash. When officers arrived at the scene, they found that the SUV had knocked down several utility poles, leaving most of Spring Valley without power. However, the driver was not at the scene, and police were still looking for him this afternoon.

A second vehicle was found overturned in a ditch by the side of the road.  Police said it appeared the downed wires caught the Ford Bronco, dragging it off the road.

The driver of the Bronco was not injured.

Authorities said the Escalade is registered to a Springboro resident, and they are currently following up on that.
