New Resource Center Opens to Help City Businesses
DAYTON, Ohio - A new "one-stop shop" for business location and expansion in the city of Dayton is now open.
The Dayton Business Resource Center opened on Monday in 2,300 square feet of newly renovated space at 371 W. Second Street. The Center is an attempt to bring together the services of several development agencies under one roof in an effort to provide help to local business owners and future entrepreneurs.
The Center includes help with permits, plan review, zoning guidance, financing and incentive information, and site-seeking, among other services. It will be staffed by representatives from the City of Dayton Office of Economic Development, City/Wide Development Corporation, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Dayton Partnership.
City Manager Rashad young said the Center and its staff will offer a "just ask" approach to helping businesses.
