Power Knocked Out After Driver Hits Pole

BELLBROOK, Ohio - A driver that crashed into a poll Sunday night knocked out power to many customers in the surrounding area.

The accident occurred on State Route 725, at the intersection with Firebird Lane, in Bellbrook. Police said a car slid off the road and struck a utility pole on the side of the road.

The vehicle was vertical against the pole when police arrived. The driver was not injured.

In all, almost 1600 people lost power as a result of the crash. Most residents had their power restored shortly after the crash.
