DAYTON, Ohio -- A Dayton teen is dead after being shot in the back as he tried to get away from an argument, according to Dayton police.

The shooting took place around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 on Santa Clara Avenue at a bus stop.

Damarion Flippin was waiting with his girlfriend at the bus stop when the couple apparently got into an argument, according to police.

A nearby group of teens witnessed the argument and ganged up on Flippin, the girlfriend told police.  She fled to find help, and when she returned, the others were gone and her boyfriend was on the ground, shot in the back.

Flippin was immediately rushed to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was taken into surgery, but he died around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police have charged two 17-year-olds with murder in the shooting.
