SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- A man was arrested in Springfield Friday night after he was found passed out at the wheel of his car with two children in the vehicle.

27-year-old Travis L. Delpinal was arrested on two counts of child endangering, according to the police report.

Police were called on reports of a suspicious vehicle parked near 1359 W. Third Street around 8 Friday night.  Officers found Delpinal passed out in the car, and he appeared drunk when they woke him up.

In the car were a 9-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl.

The girls told police that they had told Delpinal to pull over because he was driving erratically, and they were waiting for their mother to come pick them up.

The girls were turned over to the custody of a relative.

Delpinal was arrested and put in the Clark County Jail.
