DAYTON, Ohio -- The Miami Valley is once again the focus of both the Obama and McCain campaigns with the election just weeks away.

Barack Obama spoke earlier today to about 8,000 supporters at Fifth-Third Field in Dayton.  In his speech, he argued against John McCain's mortgage plan, saying it would cost taxpayers billions and reward bad lending practices.

He also promised to use money from the war in Iraq to fund projects that would create more jobs and told supporters they deserve the same healthcare as members of the U.S. Congress.

The public is welcome to attend.  RSVP's are encouraged, and can be made by visiting barackobama.com.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will speak to a crowd at the Roberts Center in Wilmington today.

Doors for the event open at 4:00 p.m. You can RSVP online at johnmccain.com.

  • Obviously
Obviously the person writing this is an "Obama-ite". If you read the story it is not hard to tell which candidate he favors. There is more about Obama in the story than there is about Palin. I listen to your station because I thought you were conservative!
