DARKE COUNTY, Ohio -- About 1200 Dayton Power and Light customers in Darke County are in the dark this morning.

Lightning hit a power pole, causing a fire and cutting service. Officials say the power should be back on by about 8:30 this morning.

The outage is centered in the area of Gettysburg and Pittsburg.

There are also some 200 DP & L customers in Montgomery County without power because of the overnight wind and rain.
