Candidates Will Spend A Lot Of Time In Ohio, Says Political Expert
DAYTON, Ohio -- Dayton delegates to the Republican National Convention had been saying all week that John McCain's speech would not match the drama or performance of Barack Obama's acceptance speech last week.
Still, they believe the event came off well Thursday night, with McCain revealing more about his background and making his pitch to voters.
McCain said he would reach out his hand to anyone who would help him get the country moving again.
And now that the conventions are over, what next?
The candidates begin a non-stop tour of the nation to nail down support in key states like Ohio.
Political expert, Prof. Christopher Duncan of the University of Dayton said, "I would be surprised if at a minimum we don't see Joe Biden and Barack Obama at least every other week of them stopping in Ohio. Certainly, they are going to talk about Ohio even if they are not in Ohio. They are going to use us quite frequently in the way they construct their case for change."
Duncan said we can expect visits from McCain and Palin too. "I can imagine John McCain and Sarah Palin being here quite a lot as well. Maybe every other week is a little much, but they are going to be featured speakers on the local news in Ohio for the next couple of months."
