LEBANON, Ohio -- The campaigns of both John McCain and Barack Obama hit the Miami Valley today. The "McCain Street U.S.A." rally was held outside the Golden Lamb restaurant in Lebanon.

This was Senator McCain's first campaign appearance in Ohio since the announcement of his selection for running mate -- Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The Republican presidential candidate told an enthusiastic crowd in Lebanon today that the U.S. is winning the war in Iraq and that Democrat Barack Obama has been wrong all along. He denounced Obama's foreign policy positions.

"Sen. Obama is wrong about Iran, wrong about Iraq, he was wrong about Russia; he's wrong about America's national security, he has no experience in national security and, more importantly, he lacks the judgment."

At Stebbins High School in Riverside this morning, Barack Obama promised to double funding for charter schools and replace inferior teachers.

The Democratic presidential nominee embraced education reform proposals normally more popular with Republican candidates. In his prepared remarks, Obama says both parties must work together to improve education.

Obama and McCain will team up to make a joint appearance at Ground Zero on the morning of September 11th.
