DAYTON, Ohio -- Harrison Township has suspended its fire chief for failing to act.

Chief Mark Lynch is on 20 days suspension without pay for failing to follow department policy when disciplining officers for an incident in the firehouse.

Lynch was a battalion chief then. He reportedly found a part-time firefighter having sex with a woman while on duty. Lynch talked with the firefighter but failed to report the incident.

Lynch apologized for his lack of action on the matter.
