Comment on the conservative principles that built this country. The US was built on land which was taken from the indigenous people and given to the railroad and settlers (Homestead Act). The land has been bountiful providing the natural resources which allow us to build the towns, cities and the infrastructure needed to support our way of life. <br> <br> However, we are no longer the land of bounty. We import 300 to 400 hundred billion dollars worth of oil per year, steel from China, Korea, Russia and India, electronics from low cost nations and the clothes on our backs from any nation which can offer employees working for $1.00 per hour. We offer the world only the weapons of war. We are the largest seller of weapons. <br> <br> I don’t feel that liberal nor conservative principle individuals or the 810 credit score crowd will be willing to really put this country on a self sufficient regiment. <br> <br> Secondly, politicians and the media talking heads in print, radio and TV are the just the animals in different clothing. The media is in the business of making money and the will do anything to stirrup controversy and feed their customers what they want and the advertiser supply the money to get you to buy the imported gasoline, big screen TVs and the latest fashions.<br> <br> I would like Washington to fix one problem every term which actual improves our society.
