Woman Sentenced In Shooting

PHILLIPSBURG, Ohio -- A woman who shot her husband, who is also a Trotwood cop, is going to prison.

35 year-old Denae Barnett-Dexter will spend the next 8 years behind bars for shooting her husband, Detective Troy Dexter, twice in the chest. She pled guilty to attempted murder and assault two weeks ago. The detective survived the blasts. The couple was in the process of getting a divorce when the incident occurred.
