Schools File Property Appeals

04/02/2008 06:03:34

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Property owners aren't the only ones filing appeals in Clark County.

A lawyer representing five Clark County school districts filed 73 appeals on property he claims is valued too low.

Bob Morrow represents Springfield City, Northeastern, Greenon, Clark-Shawnee and Northwestern school districts. He says district treasurers are concerned about possible lost revenue and he's not sure anybody totally understands what happened with the mass reappraisal.

He adds school districts shouldn't have to pay someone like him to do this, since they're already paying auditor's fees to have it done right.
