SIDNEY, Ohio -- A relative of the owners of a house near Sidney where three children died in a fire Tuesday night says an electrician had been scheduled to inspect the house today. Diana Copeland of Anna, whose son and daughter-in-law owned and occupied the house, says she believes the fire resulted from an electrical problem, although fire officials say the cause remained undetermined.
The three victims had been staying with their aunt and uncle, along with their mother, who was on an errand at the time of the
fire. Five other people escaped. Officials say the area has no fire hydrants, so the blaze had to be fought with tanker trucks.
