Local Florist To Close Up Shop
06/12/2008 07:06:17
DAYTON, Ohio -- It's been around for fifty years but the end is near for a local florist.
Tommy Tucker Flower Shop in Belmont will close later this month.
Owners cite high property taxes, declining sales and changes in the floral business as some of the reasons for the closure.
The shop is owned by Jean E. St. Marie and Richard Moritz, who bought the shop in 1977 from Janice and Dick Edwards.
