Foreclosure Treasures

AKRON, Ohio -- What's left behind when a homeowner is foreclosed can tell part of a wrenching story. Crews who handle foreclosure evictions sometimes find odd, sad and funny items.
One woman locked her cats in the attic and in another home there was a decapitated dog. There occasionally are cockroaches, fleas,
signs of drug use and even a meth lab. The Loyal Oak Property cleanup agency based near Akron found a cat skeleton in a box.
In foreclosures that result from divorce, crews might find wedding albums. If the case involved an illness, medical equipment such as casts, walkers and wheelchairs are found.
