"Kill The Bill"

Organizers should be very pleased with the turnout at Thursday's health care rally on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, as thousands demanded that the Congress block a Democratic health reform bill in Congress.

Republican lawmakers paraded before the crowd on a gorgeous Fall day, with the simple message, "Kill the Bill."

"We're not going to leave this Hill, until we kill this bill!" thundered Rep. Steve King (R-IA).

As you can see from the back of the crowd, it wasn't a small turnout. I won't even try to give you an estimate, because someone will accuse me of making it too big or too small.

But it was definitely a good sized turnout for a workday.

Inside the Capitol, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today she will have the votes to pass health care reform. A vote is tentatively set for Saturday.
