The Dayton Flyers led the Saint Louis Billikins, 54-46, with under two minutes remaining and seemed to be on their way to victory but could not hold on as they fell in double overtime to Saint Louis, 68-65, in St. Louis, MO. Kwmain Mitchell's 30 foot bank shot with 1.3 seconds left in regulation tied the game at 54-54 and sent the game into overtime.
In double overtime, Cody Ellis buried a trey that put the Billikins up for good, 66-63. Saint Louis led 68-65 and UD had a chance to tie the game but Chris Johnson missed a three and the Billikins held on for the win. UD falls to 17-7 overall and 6-4 in the Atlantic 10.
Chris Wright and Devin Searcy each scored 16 points for the Flyers. It was a career-high for Searcy. Dayton shot 47% from the floor, but only 1-13 from three-point range and 10-20 from the foul line. Paul Williams twice missed the front ends of a one-and-one in regulation. UD outrebounded Saint Louis, 45-31.
